- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I suspected something was torn in my knee. I made an appointment with an Orthopedic Specialist (Dr. Olscamp), because I knew I needed to see one; I went to the appointment where I never even saw the Doctor... or any Doctor. They sent in a P.A. (Physician's Assistant) to examine me, after he did the exam he talked to the Dr. in the hall, recommended physical therapy & the Dr. apparently agreed and I was sent on my way (I never did go back). The Physical Therapist examined me and was near positive I had a torn meniscus (I knew something was torn) He told me to go see a specialist - I did. I went to a different Specialist at the Lyman Knee Clinic in Coeur D Alene where I got something accomplished. Bottom line: Some Doctors are more conservative than others I've learned, but I would've like to talk to at least talk to the Doctor and go through the options.
